PLEASE INDICATE WHETHER YOU WANT TO RECEIVE THESE BY EMAIL OR BY POST WHERE SHOWN! Directions to the gardens will be sent with receipt for your payment. Some gardens are not easy to find and we recommend that you allow an extra few minutes on your journey time so as not to miss out on any of your day with Schooldays in the Garden. Lunches are two courses with wine and soft drinks. Please ensure any special dietary requirements are sent to Veronica well in advance for you AND your guests. We suggest you check the location of gardens on the internet through Google Maps by searching for the location by postcode, in addition to any directions sent by Schooldays in the Garden. However, Google Maps cannot always pinpoint the exact location of the garden but shows the centre of the area covered by the post code. The start time shown within the brochure is the time we will commence our tours/lectures and we will not hold on for late-comers so please be aware of this.
Dogs are NOT welcome
If you are disabled, please telephone Veronica Mackinnon to check if the gardens are suitable for wheelchairs or your disabilities. Please Note the following Health and Safety Advice: Whilst every effort will be made to ensure you have a safe visit, it is important to note that there are always hazards in gardens. These might include slippery or uneven paths and steps and other slippery surfaces such as gravel, lawns and wooden bridges or walkways (particularly when wet) and so on. If you need help to negotiate steps or any other obstacle, please make it known so we are able to assist you. Some plants can cause allergies and irritation to skin and eyes, some are thorny or prickly and others are poisonous. It is therefore recommended that you avoid touching the plants during your visit. Wash your hands well before lunch, and at the end of the day. Look out for tree roots and stumps in paths and lawns. Please do not stray off the paths. We would like you to enjoy your visit, and to go home in one piece, without injury. Please take sensible care as you proceed.
